Ok...this post is dedicated entirely to the condo we rented--what it looked like, what it came with, etc. So only look if you are interested!
We rented VRBO #427630--#1706 at the Fairways at Mauna Lani. It was a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom condo unit with a one car garage.
The front door to the unit...and the door out into the garage.

From the Kitchen--looking down the hallway to the Guest Bathroom. Laundry is in the closet on the left of the hallway, around the corner to the right is the 2nd bedroom.

The Master Bathroom--walking in, the tub is on the left behind the 1/2 wall. To your right is the closet with sliding mirrored doors. Double sinks were nice!
This is taken into the mirrored doors so everything is backwards but gives you an idea of the tub and shower.

The BBQ grill, we used this almost every night!
Just wanted to give you an idea of how well stocked the Condo was...they had some spices, napkins, aluminum foil, ziplok bags...really everything that we needed. We just stocked up on our food and drinks.
These are pictures of the pool and hot tub area
The workout room is near the pool and just a short walk from the condo.
Thanks for posting this. I plan to reserve the same condo in Hawaii, and was googling to find info on the condo and owner to validate it's real. Found your blog which provided some comfort and validates the condo will be a great basecamp for us.
ReplyDeleteYour other pages also provide a great overview of your trip and some good ideas. While I'm not a geocache geek, I do appreciate it!
Cheers
This is exactly why I posted this...I had never done VRBO before and could not have asked for a better experience. The condo was awesome and had everything we needed! If you have any specific questions, let me know! When are you heading there?

Our trip starts in late April. We're going with our kids, 7 & 4, and the trip will likely involve a lot more beach time and less local travel than yours. If we were without kids, I think it would more closely resembles yours!
DeleteDid you find a good coffee shop? A large iced coffee every morning is a perfect start to my day.
I am sure there is a coffee shop right down the street by the Woodland's Grocery store--we did a coffee tour of Greenwell Farms south of Kona and bought 100% Kona Coffee to brew in the kitchen. There are coffee shops all over though. The beachclub with the condo is great! You get to drive up there and use all of the chairs, etc. Awesome beach that is close--great for snorkeling! Try the poke from the Woodlands Meat counter too!
